Weekend fun

This was a quiet weekend. Erin went to a birthday party, Katie went to the scrapbook store with me and then we came home and played in the back yard. Erin swam and Katie played with her bunny. Sunday was really quiet because Katie woke up not feeling well and ended up sleeping till around 1 that afternoon. We did not want to over stimulate her so we stayed inside. She is all better now and is ready to go go go.

Rainy Friday

Today it is raining, raining, raining. We were going to the zoo but before we could even get out of the neighborhood it started to downpour. Being able to change plans at a moments notice is always a plus when running around with children. So, off to the Edmonds Historical Society. They have this wonderful children's museum that allows the children to pretend they are living during the pioneer times.

And so sad news....Erin lost her Tadpole last night. We gave him the typical tadpole funeral. Farewell and Happy swimming if Froggy heaven.
Best Friends

Erin's best friend Hanna spent the night last night. I would have to say they had a great time. It is funny listening to them fuss at each other for at least the first 45 miniutes or so. It is like they have to get uesed to each other all over again. I wonder if I ever did that with my friends? Today we are hoping to go to the zoo or the park. The weather has been cool so we had better take advantage before it gets hot again.

The 1st day of Summer

and the 1st day of my new blog. I am wanting to share my girls with my family and friends. I hate the idea that children grow up so fast. I also want to keep some of our memories around so that I can look back and go...hey, that is when that happened, Cool. The girls also say some of the fumniest thing. For example, yesterday when Larry was leaving to go to work he told Katie that he loved her. Her responce was "Daddy, you ALWAYS say that." She is so funny. Oh, before I forget here is another Katie-dote. We were reading a book called "Pigs can't Fly" and at one point in the book the Pig is trying to be a kangaroo and has put springs on his feet to bounce high. He says , " I can just as high as a house." Katie says, "Houses can't jump Mommy. What does that mean?" Way too smart if you ask me. OK, that is enough about her. I will give you some Erin-dotes soon.
